Trixie, A Year Later Once Trixie's changes became no longer obvious from day to day the number of pictures taken tended to become smaller. The focus of our life with her shifted from watching her grow to living and working with her. Like humans Trixie has developed daily routines and activities which she carefully observes and performs. Johanna has chronicled A Day in the Life of Trixie K. Enjoy reading. Of course, we did take many pictures in the course of the year. The first selection is a continuation of her water work. Trixie learned a lot and mastered all the exercises for the next level of Water Dog proficiency - alas, during the Water Trial she lost her concentration when ducks swam buy and she bolted off. So, no title in 2003 but a lot of fun. Here are the pictures. In spring, Olaf started to take agility classes with Trixie. This is very different from water work: the handler has to learn as much as the dog or even more. Only with the handler's guidance is the dog capable to find the proper path through the obstacle course. He has to devise the best plan, taking the difficulty of the obstacles and the dog's temperament into consideration. Most of the pictures were taken at the PWD club's Agility Fun Day. Finally, here are some snapshots . Trixie's friends visited again this year - take a look. |
